Medicinal Plant Dye Workshop Sunday March 15th 5-7pm

we are so excited to host our very first botanical dye workshop at Roots Of Reverence hosted by Maggie Latham! 

Many herbs offer more than medicinal properties, containing pigments that create beautiful natural dyes! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the connections between herbalism and plant-based color. Working with turmeric, mugwort, and hibiscus, we’ll discover the surprising range of colors each plant can produce. Participants will leave with two hand-dyed silk scarf squares of their own creation.

“Maggie Latham is a Cleveland-based artist, natural dyer, and art educator. Maggie’s work spans textile and paper pieces to custom dye projects and collaborations with local organizations. She has exhibited across Northeast Ohio and Cincinnati, and she shares her knowledge through workshops on natural dyes, highlighting accessible techniques and the use of local plants.”
