October 18th 4-6pm

The roots of Halloween dig into autumn traditions celebrated around the world. People celebrated where they came from and the people that came before them. People celebrated the harvest with blessings for the darker days to come. If you want more than candy, costumes, and inflatable icons, join a deeper celebration of the autumnal shifts. Herbalist Leah Wolfe comes to Roots of Reverence for an evening of storytelling about plants, the thinning veil, and ways to connect with ancestral traditions. Ancestral work is meant as the process of connecting with people who have inspired, nurtured, or assisted and not necessarily related as family. Along with tastings of herbs for the thinning veil, enjoy a traditional food and a warming beverage.

Cost: $40, Please bring a mug from home for tea

Class Size Limited to 10 folks

Class Will be held at:

Roots Of Reverence Herb Shop

18103 Detroit Ave

Lakewood Ohio

About The Instructor:

Leah Wolfe is an archetypal herbalist. You know the one, living at the edge of town with all the weird plants. Before Leah started the Trillium Center in NE Ohio, an educational project and botanical sanctuary, she traveled to many environmental and political disasters as an herbal street medic. She combines this experience with a love of folklore, folk art, and awe of nature to breathe a sense of mystery and levity into the educational experience.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0822/4512/4412/files/FullSizeRender_c95cbfb6-c303-43dc-b1c2-661e9ed3e86d.jpg?v=1790273108
